For my third year internship at DotRobot B.V., located in Delft, I was responsible for designing, testing and making a prototype PCB for a MIMO control system driven by an FPGA.

During this internship I learned about PCB design in Altium designer, learned communicating with different companies working on the same product, learned about routing higher frequency data lines up to 1MHz and clock frequencies up to 26MHz. I also learned more about the importance of a PCB stackup and GND layout in comparison to return paths, shielding and the influence on the impedance of certain tracks.

Lastly I learned more practical skills with soldering PCB's and testing hardware of electronics by changing the ambient circumstances like the temperature.
